How to fix long yarn floats in flat knitting

Long floats on the reverse of jacquard or intarsia panels snag on needles, cause breaks, and leave loose fabric. Here is the mill-floor workflow used inside CITCE KNIT CAD.

1. Detect the hazard. Scan each course for same-feeder runs longer than your float threshold (typically 8–12 needles). Upload a HQPDS .BMP to the free BMP inspector for an instant hazard count.
2. Bind on the back bed. Insert tuck/bind stitches along the float so each sub-run stays under the threshold. CITCE's 1-Click AI Auto-Binder places binds without changing the front face.
3. Re-check physics. Re-run float detection and Munden tightness before compiling to Hengqiang .BMP, Stoll .SIN, or Shima .DAT.
